Qualifications
I received my Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2009 from Webster University. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (#9063) with the NC Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors and South Carolina License Professional Board (#7102) and a Licensed Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (#20086) with North Carolina Addictions Specialist Professional Practice Board.
I have over ten years of providing individual and family counseling. I work with adults, adolescents and children who are diagnosed with a mental health and/or substance use disorder. A year of my experience was as a Rehabilitation Counselor where I assisted the above population with their vocational needs. For many years, I volunteered as a co-facilitator of substance abuse groups.
I conduct Comprehensive Clinical Assessments to determine diagnosis and the best treatment for the individual. Treatment modalities used to treat anxiety, trauma, depression, and anger are Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Anger Management, Assertive Commitment Engagement (ACT) and Behavioral Activation.
