Violeta Farcas
,PG Diploma in CBT, fully BABCP Accredited
My education started as early as 2011, with an introductory course in humanistic psychology.
That was followed by a one year course in Counselling Skills Level 2, where I was exposed to the main therapeutic approaches: humanistic, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and integrative.
In 2014 I finished my BA(Hons) in CBT with a first. The course lasted 3 years part time. In 2020, during the pandemic, I enrolled on a MSc in CBT and I left the course with a PG Diploma because I was more than qualified to focus on and start work.
During my studies, which were rigorously assessed, I have had the opportunity to work with different and diverse organisations. I have experience in addiction, trauma and psychosis when I worked for 3 years with two of the most recognised UK charities that focus on treating drugs and alcohol misuse. Here I had the opportunity to work with groups, be on an interviewing panel, and apply third wave therapies.
I also worked for a year in the NHS, where I was treating anxiety and mood disorders using traditional CBT. OCD, GAD, SAD, perfectionism, low self-esteem were very common presentations.
Lately, I focus on improving my own private business and the therapy I founded. Here is my website, where reviews are genuine and not AI generated: ahatherapy.co.uk
My therapy philosophy is borrowed from Aaron T. Beck: "CBT is anything that works". This is because I have a vast repertoire of techniques and experience, plus an easy way of relating to people and a deep understanding of human nature.
