Rachael Bentovim-Gill
,Prof PsyD
I have worked in education and mental health for over 25 years as a teacher and behaviour coach supporting children and their parents to find positive solutions to difficult behaviours. I am an expert in special educational needs and have worked at a specialist level to support children and young people to access resources and help they need to manage their mental health.
I have also worked as a coach and mentor managing teams at an executive level within schools. This culminated in leading my own department and supporting other schools to develop strategic plans and build resilience within their own departments. I went on to lead my own school successfully with strategic oversight for key developmental areas with a keen focus on children’s mental health.
I trained as a psychotherapeutic counsellor and hypnotherapist as this has been a life long dream of mine as I could see the benefits that therapy has for people. It has also brought greater strength to my continuing work in education and mental health. I work in private practice as a psychotherapist, an executive coach and specialist teacher.
I have always believed in a client centred approach so I offer a bespoke experience for my clients based on what they bring to therapy. Outside of a strong therapeutic relationship, I offer a range of modalities. I often find that a blend of approaches including CBT and mindfulness at the core has good results.
I have completed over 2,500 hours of supervised client work and have supported a range of clients specifically those who have complex trauma, Bipolar, Borderline personality disorder and other PD’s, OCD, childhood abuse, domestic violence survivors, PTSD. I have worked with clients in long term therapy work (26 weeks) and short term therapy work (3-6 weeks).
I am also experienced in online therapy work as this is my main therapeutic approach and I have worked for a similar online platform using the video, chat and messaging functions.

"This is a great service and approach to therapy. It is so helpful to have access to the worksheets and other modalities in addition to having access to a therapist."

"I like this platform so far for many reasons.
I can do it on my phone from anywhere.
It involves a lot of writing which I’m comfortable with.
My therapist is very responsive and provides thoughtul replies that show she’s not a bot. I do worry about bots. Some of the repiles could have been produced by a bot and an LLM but most feel personal and attentive.
I’ve never done online therapy. This was a good experience. I don’t know if I would do it again, but I will let you know after I’ve met with my therapist.

"I wish I had started this many, many years ago. I am so grateful to have discovered this course and therapy approach. Speaking with my therapist, in conjunction with the worksheets was really helpful at identifying key information I was missing about myself. I know the road to healing can be bumpy and windy but I am feeling much more confident setting out on this part of my journey. I am excited to view myself, the world around and even my traumas with the fresh, light new view I've recently discovered. Thank you, endless gratitude - ALWAYS."

"Since starting this therapy a couple of weeks ago, I've already found a good positive forward motion. Finally, being able to talk with someone has been a great help. Dealing with depression and anxiety, it's been a dark time and I just haven't been able to get out of my own way. I know there's work to do, but I feel like I've found the guidance that I've been craving for so long. Thank you, endless appreciation!"
