Nathaniel Metzger

I enjoy supporting and enhancing the individual strengths that make you who you are. I feel fortunate to have listened and witnessed the experiences and growth that many people have shared with me.
My professional background includes over a decade of outpatient counseling for residents of Washington and Missouri.. I’ve provided services for teens, adults, and senior citizens in both community mental health, group practice, and telehealth settings. While providing support, I have focused on pragmatic approaches which accommodate differing cultural backgrounds and worldviews.
My background and training is based on Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Family Systems, and Mindfulness related practices. While I enjoy identifying effective coping skills, my primary focus is on that of developing individual rapport in order to best match therapeutic approaches to individual needs.
I am fluent in both Spanish and English. I earned a master’s degree on Counseling Psychology from Northwest University in Kirkland, WA.
