,LPCC, LADC
I received my M.A. in Counseling and Psychological Services from Saint Mary's University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and B.S. in Alcohol and Drug Counseling from Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, Minnesota.
I have been in the counseling field for over ten years. I work with individuals dealing with a variety of challenges in life. Genuineness, respect and empathy are the essential components of my therapeutic style. In our work together, I will help you look for new perspectives and challenge you to make any changes needed to live a more fulfilling life. We will collaborate together to come up with creative solutions or new ideas to approach the barriers you’re facing by utilizing your strengths.
My approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy to foster positive change. Areas of special interest include anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, trust and attachment issues, self-esteem, spirituality, and mindfulness. I am also a certified yoga instructor.
