I received both my bachelor's degree and master’s degree in social work from Metropolitan State University of Denver. During that time and since then, I have worked with the unhoused populations in both Boulder and Denver Colorado. I have also worked as a clinical case manager for community mental health organizations, working mainly with individuals who experience severe mental illness. I have considerable experience working with individuals with high suicidal ideation and also addictions. I worked as a crisis clinician for an organization that answers calls for the state crisis line and National Suicide Lifeline. In 2016 I started my private practice and have been self-employed since then.
My passion is helping people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and stress learn to manage their symptoms, develop coping skills, and change their thought processes. I typically use an eclectic therapeutic approach, depending on what the client is needing, and CBT is always a main component of the work. It is very rewarding to see the light bulb moments when clients realize how much control they have over their thoughts and how effective it can be to work on changing their self-talk and perceptions.
