I am a Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor (LPC-S), and I seek to assist individuals and families to resolve or better cope with a wide range of difficulties, including depression, anxiety, ADD, ADHD, school issues, peer relationships, relational or social problems, parenting issues, anger management, self-esteem, divorce recovery, and trauma.
My background also includes working with children, adolescents, and families in a school setting for the past 29 years, including working as a school counselor for the past eleven years. In addition to this, I have worked with individuals, families, and couples in a private practice setting since 2016.
I have a Bachelor's of Science degree, and my Master's of Science in Counseling Psychology from Texas A&M University - Commerce as well as a doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University. My counseling experience includes providing individual counseling, family counseling, group therapy, and play therapy.
My counseling approach includes using cognitive behavioral, humanistic, and solution focused techniques. I believe it is important to treat each person with respect and compassion. I will create an individual counseling plan for you to meet your specific counseling needs. I look forward to working with you!
