Karon's goal is to positively impact individuals and communities, helping them to achieve their highest level of excellence. Throughout his lifetime, Karon has witnessed the profound influence of compassionate support and advocacy on vulnerable populations, inspiring him to dedicate himself to becoming a social worker. Through his journey and experiences, Karon has developed a strong passion for being a helpful resource for others.
Karon has developed a deep understanding and dedication to social justice, empowering those who have been marginalized or silenced. Growing up in a small rural community where resources are scarce, Karon can empathize with many individuals' and families' struggles. Reoccurring issues such as poverty, discrimination, and inequality have led to deep-rooted disparities and hindered growth opportunities for many. Karon has earned a master’s degree in social work at the University of South Carolina to learn the theoretical approaches to human behavior in the social environment and various evidence-based practices. Karon believes the courses in social work have deepened his understanding of human behavior and the complex interplay between individual experiences and broader social systems.
Karon's experiences as a clinical social worker have improved his interpersonal skills and developed his ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. He has learned to approach individuals with empathy, active listening, and cultural humility, recognizing the importance of meeting people where they are while valuing their unique perspectives. Karon believes these qualities are fundamental to fostering meaningful relationships and promoting positive change. He uses various research-based techniques to reach clients but specializes in cognitive-behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, and motivational interviewing.
By listening to others' stories and offering empathy, Karon aspires to create safe spaces for others to navigate their journeys of healing and growth. He has helped hundreds of people identify their strengths, develop resilience and autonomy, resulting in positive changes in their lives and communities. Helping individuals overcome obstacles has given Karon an intimate understanding of resilience and the transformative power of support systems. In addition, the satisfaction and rewards he has experienced in his career have motivated Karon to become the best clinical therapist he can be.

"The convenience of this online therapy is awesome. I love the options of message, voice or live video chat. The prices are reasonable as well as cheaper then other therapy sites I’ve seen. My therapist Karon Hopkins is a very caring professional and knowledgeable person that from day one has made it easy/ comfortable to talk to. I also love the dashboard. It makes it easy to keep up with your tasks, messages, appointments and daily journaling. The yoga videos are an added bonus. I did try the beginning one. It was easy but because of my personal health issues I couldn’t perform some off the positions. But, what I could do, generated relaxation. I found chair yoga was best for me. Perhaps this site could also have chair yoga as an option."

"Mr. Hopkins was very patient and showed a great deal of empathy for my situation. I did not feel judged and he offered practical solutions that I was able to use to help me. I have had many therapists, but I think I will stick with him for the long run."
