Danett Simmons
,M.S, LMFT
Throughout my counseling journey, I have embraced a humanistic approach as the foundation of my practice. However, I have also adopted a systemic lens, incorporating elements from renowned therapy models such as Gottman, Bowen, and structural family therapies. By integrating techniques and interventions from person-centered therapy, narrative therapies, solution-focused therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy, I strive to provide a comprehensive and holistic approach to counseling.
One of my core values is the importance of working with families to resolve conflicts and help them achieve their goals. I believe in the power of empathy, unconditional positive regard, and maintaining a non-judgmental stance to create a safe and supportive environment for clients. I firmly believe that this approach fosters change, healing, and growth. In my practice, I hold a deep respect for the individuals I work with and recognize their right to self-determination and the ability to make choices that shape their own lives. I strongly believe that empowering clients to manage their own lives plays a vital role in their psychological health and overall well-being. By combining my humanistic foundation, systemic perspective, and the utilization of various therapy models, I am committed to facilitating personal growth and transformation in my clients. It is my passion to support individuals and families in their journey towards achieving their fullest potential.
