It is my hope that anyone who "walks through my doors" feels heard, understood and accepted. I do not believe that there is a one-size-fits-all solution for clients. I meet you where you are and let you show me what works. I will not sugar coat things but I also will never judge a client. You are the experts of yourself. I am simply supporting you on your path to a more fulfilling life.
I received my Masters in Counseling from Western Michigan University in 2008. I specialized in substance use disorders and began working in addiction treatment right out of school. Since then, I've seen clients in residential, outpatient, crisis, home, hospital, and integrated health settings. I've worked with clients from all walks of life and that's shown me that we are all more similar than we are different. Addiction, depression, anxiety and trauma know no socioeconomic bounds.
I've received specialized training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing, and in Accelerated Resolution Therapy.
