I have been in the field of counseling for over 30 years and have degrees in Psychology, Human Services, and Education (with an emphasis in Counseling Psychology). I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Illinois. I have worked in numerous different settings such as community mental health agencies, medical clinics, group home settings, schools, private group practices, and virtual platforms. I have worked with individuals, families, couples, and groups, and assisted with numerous types of life challenges, such as recovering from abuse, neglect, family separation, and other types of trauma; interpersonal communication skills, blended family adjustments, spiritual identity issues, and crises of faith. I have also taught hundreds of courses in counseling and psychology as an adjunct faculty at 7 different colleges and universities in the Chicago area. I am an African American female and have been privileged to work with people representing various racial and ethnic backgrounds.
