About Hayley Schiller, LMSW

Hayley Schiller is a Licensed Social Worker for the State of New York who has earned both her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work with a minor in Psychology and her Master's Degree in Social Work from Fordham University. With prior experience working with diverse communities and populations, Ms. Schiller specializes in providing non-judgmental, culturally competent care for clients from all backgrounds. Her experience includes working with patients with symptoms of anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, and trauma.Ms. Schiller takes a strengths-based approach with her clients and emphasizes exploring the client's environment and putting their needs in the context of their environment. Her goal is to provide a safe space for her clients to speak freely and work towards a positive future.For clients wondering what a typical session with Ms. Schiller looks like, she explains that after the first session where they get to know each other better, an average session follows a structured agenda. It starts with checking in on the client's mood and how they've been feeling since the last session. Then, they set the agenda by picking a topic or two to discuss during the session. Collaboratively, they discuss the topic(s) and come up with an action plan of at least one strategy to practice in between sessions. Ms. Schiller answers the worksheets from Monday to Friday and checks the message board daily.
